Be aware that many scammers use pandemic events as an opportunity to scam unsuspecting victims by promising bogus products or services. Look out for suspicious eMails, calls, or texts, medical supply scams, or fake donation sites that may impersonate a company, charity, or government agency. These scams may try to convince you to share sensitive information (like usernames or passwords), make donations from a spoofed website, download malware to your devices, etc. If you do receive an eMail, call, or text that seems suspicious, do not respond, do not click on any links or open any attachments. If you wish to donate or purchase healthcare supplies, please verify the website’s authenticity before entering your personal information.
